Marvin Edeas - Ncbi
The patents of Marvin Edeas tied into the use of an oyster enzyme hydrolyzate within a composition that eliminates free radicals and modulates oxidative stress. Two Nrf-2 modulators separated from proteins and peptides, which can trigger the antioxidant system of defence, were determined by Marvin Edeas. Because of these patents, a start-up was created to market the peptide.
Chair of the International Society (ISANH) and the French Society of Antioxidants (SFA) and Founder of the World Mitochondria Society (WMS)
Through the SFA, Marvin Edeas promotes exchanges and cooperation between researchers, biologists, public health actors and doctors, etc. The established French Society of Antioxidants (SFA) is a society which he chairs. Scientific studies on oxidative stress, mitochondria, microbiota, inflammation, differentiation, cell signalling, Nrf2 transcription factors stimulation and their implications in various pathologies are the main focus of Marvin Edeas’ research. The relationship between mitochondria and microbiota is his main focus.
Marvin Edeas - A World-recognised Scientist
The Chair of the International Society of Antioxidants naturally takes care of his annual congress, Paris Redox. Numerous organisations call upon Marvin Edeas’ expertise. Marvin Edeas chairs various committees of a scientific nature, such as the Congress on Targeting Mitochondria, Microbiota, Non-invasive Markers in Various Chronic Pathologies and Glycation & Maillard Reaction.
At Paris Descartes University, Marvin Edeas shed light on the impact of oxidative stress and co-infections in patients suffering HIV. He was a participant in the very first clinical study on the effects of antiretroviral therapy on hyperlactatemia and lactic acidosis. Significant research was conducted on the acquired immunodeficiency virus by Marvin Edeas in the 90's.
